How the 10-year warranty actually works — read this before you quote.
MetaSure is a system warranty, not a laminate warranty. The 10 years covers MGC used over its matched Metamark print media and applied per Metamark's published procedures. Specifically:
- Matched media required. MGC laminated over MetaCast MDC is the warranted combination. Put MGC over another manufacturer's cast film, or over a calendered film, and you are outside the MetaSure terms.
- Ink life is a gate. Metamark warrants the graphic against excessive fading or colour degradation for the specified lifetime of the ink used. Your ink set and print process are part of the equation, not just the film.
- Application per the technical literature. Correct storage, printing, lamination, and installation as documented. Shortcuts void it.
None of this is unusual — every premium wrap warranty in the industry works this way. But it's the single most common source of denied claims, and it's worth knowing before you put "10-year warranty" in a customer proposal. Ask us for the current MetaSure terms and we'll send them.
Best for: full vehicle wraps, fleet graphics with long service lives, box trucks and trailers with corrugations and rivets, and any wrap where the customer is paying for longevity and expects paperwork to back it up.

The short version: match the laminate to the print film you actually run. Pairing MGC with MD-X media, or MGX with MDC, gives up the matched-system engineering that both products are built around — and gives up the warranty with it.
Lamination and application notes
- Let prints outgas fully. Solvent and eco-solvent prints must cure completely before lamination. Trapping residual solvent under a cast laminate causes hazing and adhesion failure that shows up months later, on the customer's vehicle.
- Don't touch the face film. Handle by the edges and keep the material free of dust and static. Contamination under a gloss cast laminate is permanent and visible.
- Use the correct profiles. Metamark publishes ICC profiles for its media; correct profiles and heater settings are part of the warranted process, not an optional refinement.
- Test print first. Always run a test before committing a full wrap's worth of material.
- Post-heat the recesses. Standard cast wrap practice applies — post-heat channels, recesses, and rivets to Metamark's stated temperature so the film sets in its new shape rather than remembering the old one.
- Document the install. If the customer is buying the 10-year story, photograph the process. Warranty claims go a great deal better with a record.
