Printing and Handling
Always perform a test print and confirm the correct printer profile, heater settings and ink compatibility before production. Allow the media to reach room temperature before printing and keep the printable surface free from dust, static and fingerprints.
For solvent and eco-solvent printing, allow a minimum of 48 hours for the ink to outgas before laminating or applying the graphic. Dark or heavily saturated prints may require additional outgassing time.
Some UV inks may not be suitable for conformable vehicle wrap applications. Test the printed film for flexibility, adhesion and conformability before production.
Recommended Overlaminate
For added abrasion resistance, UV protection, easier handling and enhanced durability, pair MDC XR with a compatible Metamark MetaGuard MGC cast overlaminate. The matched MGC laminate is sold separately.
Installation Notes
This film is intended for professional dry application. Proper surface preparation, installation heat and post-heating procedures are required, especially when applying the material into deep channels and recesses. Avoid excessive stretching, which may reduce long-term performance.
Important: Outdoor durability and warranty coverage vary based on ink system, laminate, exposure, climate, surface orientation, preparation and installation. Review current Metamark technical and warranty information before use.
