Arlon DPF 8000 Ultra Tack is the film to reach for when the substrate is working against you. This 3.5-mil (90 micron) satin white, high-tensile PVC film pairs a durable face stock with an aggressive permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive engineered specifically for difficult substrates and low surface energy plastics — especially ABS. One film handles the jobs that peel, flag, and lift with standard print media: plastic dirt bike panels, heavy industrial equipment markings, OEM markings, off-road vehicles, textured walls, and short-term interior floor graphics.
Applied with heat on textured substrates, DPF 8000 Ultra Tack conforms to slight contours and textures with ease. Print it on eco-solvent, solvent, UV, or latex systems, then finish it with your choice of Arlon overlaminate to dial in the look your customer wants.

Compatible Arlon Overlaminates
Match DPF 8000 Ultra Tack with ProTec Series 3960, Series 3420, Series 3270, Series 3220, Series 3210, Series 3170, or Series V3370 to control gloss level and add surface protection. For short-term interior floor graphics, use Series 3220 Gloss, Series 3420 Gloss, or Series 3420 Matte — all approved under UL 410 for slip resistance on floor graphic materials.
Printing & Installation Notes
Printing
The high bond of DPF 8000 Ultra Tack comes from a soft adhesive, and the trade-off is more visible shrinkage than a standard film. Do not leave the printer unattended — adhesive can build up on the film edges over time and cause headstrikes. Dry finished prints completely before laminating, top coating, or installing; residual solvent left in the vinyl and adhesive will show up as shrinkage and edge curl. On paneled graphics, overlap panels at least 1/4" to absorb any shrinkage.
Plastic Substrates
Lightly scuff with sandpaper or flame-oxidize the surface before installation. On polyolefinic plastics, breaking through the oily skin improves bond dramatically. Do not wrap gasoline tanks or plastics exposed to fuel fumes — gasoline migrates through PP and PE and interferes with adhesion.
Masonry & Rough Surfaces
Water, snow, or ice can seep between the film and a porous wall and collect along the upper edges of the graphic, so an edge seal is recommended on very rough surfaces. Vertical masonry (brick, cinder block, concrete) is rated up to 6 months and is contingent on no rain or harsh weather. Rough surfaces may not carry standard warranties.
Removal
Remove in one continuous motion at a shallow angle, roughly 1 in/sec, pulling toward the ground at greater than 90 degrees from the wall. Work at 55°F or above; below that, use a heat gun or soft flame. Heat makes removal significantly cleaner — bring the surface to 80°F/27°C or higher, and the film and underlying adhesive above 100°F/38°C where possible. A two-person crew (one heating, one peeling) moves far faster than one.
