Standard permanent adhesives fail on low-energy plastics and powder-coated metal — the graphic lifts at the edges within weeks and the job comes back. ORAJET® 3105HT solves it with a grey, solvent-based permanent adhesive that delivers extremely high initial tack and an aggressive final bond on the substrates that give shops the most trouble.
The 4-mil high-performance calendered PVC face stock prints gloss white on latex, solvent, eco-solvent, and UV curable systems, and carries UL 969 "Marking and Labeling Systems" certification in the USA and CSA C22.2 No. 0.15 "Adhesive Labels" in Canada — the approvals that industrial label and equipment marking work typically requires. Every roll ships 100% splice free.

The Grey Adhesive Advantage
The grey adhesive layer blocks the color of what's underneath. On a black plastic ATV fender, a red powder-coated frame, or over an existing dark graphic, grey adhesive keeps whites reading white and colors printing true instead of dulling and shifting. It is the practical reason to choose 3105HT over a clear-adhesive film on anything but a white substrate.

Recommended ORAGUARD® Overlaminates
ORAGUARD® Series 215, 270, 280, 290, 290GF, and 293 are the recommended laminate options for 3105HT. Series 215 and 270 are the standard pairings for high-tack graphics work; step to 290 or 289F where the job needs premium cast protection over contours.

Printing & Application Notes
Ink Drying
Use ORAFOL ICC profiles, available in the Support section at orafolamericas.com. Allow solvent-based inks to dry a minimum of 24 hours — 48 to 72 hours preferred — at 70°F before cutting the graphic or applying a laminate. Trapped solvent is the leading cause of edge lift and laminate failure on high-tack media.
Surface Preparation
Clean the substrate thoroughly of dust, grease, and any contamination that could interfere with adhesion. Freshly lacquered or painted surfaces must be fully cured, and the compatibility of specific lacquers and paints should be tested before production. Structured or textured films are more sensitive than smooth films in both processing and cleaning, and will require more frequent cleaning in service.
