Colors and structures
| Color | Structure | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| 090 Silver | Fine | Stocked |
| 091 Gold | Fine | Special order |
| 094 Silver | Coarse | Special order |
| 095 Gold | Coarse | Special order |
Fine vs. coarse: fine structure reads as a smooth, uniform acid-etch — the safer choice for small lettering, logos, and dense cut detail. Coarse structure has a more pronounced grain that mimics sandblasted glass and shows best across larger open areas like privacy bands and full-panel treatments.
Roll sizes: 15", 24", and 48" widths in 10 yd and 50 yd lengths. Special-order colors ship on ORAFOL's production schedule — call for current lead time before you commit to an install date.
Installation notes
- Wet apply. ORAFOL recommends wet application for this film. It gives you repositioning time on large panels and is the difference between a clean storefront job and a re-do.
- Apply above 46°F. Cold glass fights the adhesive. In winter installs, warm the glass surface before you start.
- Prep matters. The glass must be thoroughly clean and free of dust, grease, and contamination. Permanent adhesives telegraph every speck you leave behind.
- Fresh paint and lacquer need three weeks. If the film touches recently lacquered or painted framing, let it dry and fully cure for at least three weeks, and test lacquer/paint compatibility yourself before applying.
- Permanent means permanent. This is a solvent polyacrylate permanent adhesive at 18 N/25 mm on glass. Plan on a scraper and adhesive remover at end of life — if the customer needs a removable film, tell us and we'll point you at a different product.
Compliance and handling
- RoHS compliant per EU Directive 2011/65.
- Contains no REACH Candidate List substances of very high concern above 0.1% w/w (film and adhesive).
- Not classified as a dangerous product for transportation. No H or P phrases; no PPE required for normal handling.
- Waste class similar to household waste; recycle per local regulations.
- ORAFOL notes that direct contact with the tacky adhesive surface should be minimized as a general precaution.
