Not every sign job needs screws, rivets, or liquid adhesive. For lightweight panels, point-of-sale displays, and interior mounting, a good double-sided foam tape can save time and leave a cleaner finish. ORABOND 1812TM from ORAFOL is a white polyethylene foam tape with an acrylic adhesive on both sides, made for exactly that kind of work.

What Is ORABOND 1812TM?

ORABOND 1812TM is a double-coated foam tape. The carrier is a white PE foam about 1/25" thick, coated on both sides with AM2, a modified solvent acrylic adhesive, and protected by a white 55# (3 mil) paper release liner. The foam gives the tape some gap-filling ability, which helps when you are mounting to surfaces that are not perfectly flat.

Application Tips

  • Clean both surfaces of dust, oil, and residue before mounting.
  • Apply the tape to one surface first, then remove the liner and press the second surface into place with firm, even pressure.
  • Test on a sample piece of your substrate before running a full job, especially on textured or low-energy plastics.
  • Store the tape in its original packaging in a cool, dry place.
